Named in honour of Simon Van der Stel, the first governor of the Dutch Cape colony who was responsible for providing land to a group of French Protestants fleeing persecution in their homeland. Fresh aromas of citrus fruits and gooseberry, vibrant acidity and a touch of wet stone.
