Description
About Les Frères Laffitte: Christophe and Sébastien are two true Gascoun brothers who can trace their ancestry in their village of Ayzieu back to the 15th century. The name ‘La Fitte’ originates from the word ‘stone’ in the ancient Gascoun language. Amazingly, there has been only one son born to succeed each generation since that time. Until now….The family historically made only vintage Armagnac and it was the brothers’ parents who made the decision to diversify into wine and in a single generation they have grown their property from 18 hectares to 120 hectares of vines.
Vinification: Grapes are harvested at night. Every grape varietal is vilified separately, but they are all destemmed and directly pressed. Then a 15 day cold maceration period occurs before alcohol fermentation. Ageing on lees for 12 months.
