Description
About Domaine René-Lequin: The Lequin family’s winemaking history is nothing short of impressive, dating back nearly 350 years (1673). Their 9 Hectares are mostly split between Chassagne-Montrachet & Santenay and have all been farmed organically since 2009. All Francois wines are now organically certified though he chooses not to state as such on the labels as he wants them to sell on their own merits. He believes organic farming helps the expression of the terroir.
Description: The site is located on the east side of Santenay, near the edge of Chassagne Montrachet. The soil here is rich in clay and oolite limestone giving the Pinot Noir a more opulent fruit profile while the limestone provides finesse and structure. Lequins vines in La Comme are more than 45 years old.
