Description
About Domaine Delagrange: Domaine Henri Delagrange in Volnay, Côte d’Or, owns fourteen and a half hectares of vines in the best situations in Côte de Beaune. The family business is run by Didier Delagrange, vine grower and wine maker, who produces high quality Burgundy wines. All these wines are hand harvested, vinified and bottled at the vineyard.
Description: The wine is ruby coloured, light but flavourful, giving off subtle aromas and notes of Raspberry, Blackberry and Violet. Elegant and feminine character.
What the press says: “Made from Pinot Noir, this has the familiar aromas of earthy mushrooms and an enticing savouriness with a hint of thyme. Accessible and considered acidity along beautifully ripe red fruits make for a most pleasant mouthfeel and a smooth elegant finish. This is gentle but measured, confident but not arrogant. Although it has ageing potential for a few years, this is a wine that wants to be enjoyed now. It’s perfect for a romantic Valentine’s meal of beef Wellington or rack of lamb, but also worth trying with white or milk chocolate.” Cathal McBride, Sunday Business Post
