Description
About La Fruitière Vinicole d’Arbois : is one of the first cooperative wine cellars in France, created under the impetus of 26 Arbois winemakers on January 4, 1906. At that time the vineyard had just been destroyed by phylloxera and the wine market was occupied by mediocre wines without controlled origins.
The winemakers of the fruit plant decide to provide a collective and qualitative response by focusing on the winemaking potential of Jura wines.
A search for excellence contributed to obtaining the first French AOC for Arbois wines on May 15, 1936, followed a few years later by the Côtes du Jura AOC. Installed since 1969 in the heart of Arbois, it was quickly equipped with a cellar and high-quality winemaking facilities, at the same time as it moved towards environmentally friendly viticulture by practicing reasoned agriculture.
Today it is still an adventure of men and women who work every day with care and passion to offer you the authenticity and identity of the extraordinary wines of Arbois.
La Fruitière Vinicole d’Arbois currently brings together nearly 100 members on a wine-growing area of about 250 hectares, for an annual production of more than one million bottles of Jura wines.
Description : A delightfully perfumed Pinot Noir-dominant blend from a well established Jura co-operative. Fulsome on the nose with dried cherries and violets. The palate is juicy with sour cherry notes and a touch of sweet vanilla followed by a nice length to the finish.
