About Bodegas y viñedos Señorio de Beade: Señorio de Beade is a family-owned winery founded by the González-Vázquez family in 1987, located in the town of Beade, Ourense, within the “O Ribeiro” denomination of origin. Since its inception, significant investments have been made, and the most advanced technologies have been implemented to produce both white and red wines, taking into account traditional methods and grape varieties.
Terroir: The soils are very poor, with low clay content, but they have a characteristic high level of granite sand called “Sabrego,” typical of the Ribeiro region. The mountains isolate the area from the influence of the Atlantic Ocean. The slightly continental climate, combined with prevailing air currents, creates a significant temperature difference between day and night, which promotes the slow ripening of polyphenols, resulting in
rich and aromatic wines. The soil and climate conditions in the Avia River valley are ideal for growing local grape varieties, such as Treixadura, Albariño, and Loureira for white wines, as well as Mencía and Caiño Susón for red wines.
Vineyards: Currently, the winery owns 12 hectares of its own vineyards and exclusively exploits other 15 hectares of separate plots in the Avia River valley in Beade. The optimal orientation of the vineyards, sunny exposure, and the unique characteristics of the terrain give the wines distinctive qualities that make them characteristic and authentic. The use of local grape varieties, combined with high-quality winemaking practices allows them to produce wines with character, distinguished by elegance, freshness, and a pronounced varietal character. This is confirmed by numerous awards and recognition at both national and international levels.
Winemaker: Sandra Cortes
Wine Making: The grapes are grown through selective methods and handpicked. The juice obtained during pressing is cooled and clarified using the gravitational method, then fermented in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures to preserve the varietal aroma of the grapes.
Tasting Notes : It has a yellow color with greenish flecks. The aroma is vibrant, with notes of apple and green plum, complemented by hints of fennel and freshly cut grass. Refreshing on the palate, with a long fruity finish. This wine pairs well with fish and seafood dishes. Additionally, since it is young and fresh, it also complements meat dishes and pasta.
